Flying high on the rides at the San Diego fair. Well the fair is almost over and I can't believe how fast the month has gone by.
I'm normally very meticulous about planning out my shots and I'll usually have a good idea as to what composition I want to use as well as the ideal weather and environmental conditions. I'll shoot and reshoot until everything aligns. However this picture involved some serendipity. I had actually been photographing another ride at the fair, but I was getting frustrated as my images weren't turning out like I wanted. I was trying to pan my camera and get the riders sharp but the background in a blur. That wasn't working for me and then I decided to move on and try something else. This composition clicked immediately although I did spend quite some time getting it just right.
I'm so glad I changed things up. I really love the way this ride looks like a giant luminescent flower in the sky.

Medium: Archival pigment print with acrylic facemount
This is a pigment print where the front has been directly mounted with an adhesive to a sheet of ultra clear, scratch resistant, and non-reflective acrylic glass. This process is known as face mounting. The acrylic captures light internally resulting in a display with incredible visual depth and vibrancy. With proper lighting, the acrylic print will appear to be back illuminated with the light emanating from the image itself. The print comes ready to hang with a hidden mount on the back that floats the print off the wall.
Please allow 4-5 weeks for production and delivery of your print. The prices include U.S. shipping, please contact me for international rates.
