Ragged cliffs lead to the Old Point Loma Lighthouse.
Sometimes it can be a bit hard to stick to your plan. I had been thinking about this composition for a while and I setup on the cliffs behind lighthouse looking towards the southeast and away from the setting sun. While I was waiting, the sky really started burning in the west but the clouds right above the lighthouse weren't being touched. I was so very tempted to change my composition and run over to the front of the lighthouse for the traditional picture but I decided to sit and wait. It seemed like forever, but it was probably only 10 minutes and then clouds above the lighthouse started glowing.
