Endless Waves is a landscape photograph by Stephen Bay. It depicts a multitude of waves coming ashore with surfers and the Ocean Beach Pier in the background. The sky is predominately orange from a dramatic sunset and this light is reflected in the water. The viewpoint of the artwork is from a person standing within the water as waves come up the beach.

Endless Waves | Ocean Beach

Nothing more relaxing than hanging out for a sunset at the beach (although maybe all the surfers would say that's even more relaxing). This was taken on a lazy friday afternoon. I had left the house a little early to drop my wife off at her walking group in North Park and I had a few hours to kill. I saw the high clouds and a great sunset shaping up so I headed to the coast.

Medium: Archival pigment print with acrylic facemount

This is a pigment print where the front has been directly mounted with an adhesive to a sheet of ultra clear, scratch resistant, and non-reflective acrylic glass. This process is known as face mounting. The acrylic captures light internally resulting in a display with incredible visual depth and vibrancy. With proper lighting, the acrylic print will appear to be back illuminated with the light emanating from the image itself. The print comes ready to hang with a hidden mount on the back that floats the print off the wall.
