Water Meets Sky | La Jolla Coast
I took this photo one evening at the end of August. I always find that summer time is hard in San Diego. We have a heavy marine layer so we almost never have a wonderful sunset with strong colors. The day might be sunny but as late afternoon comes around the sun dips behind an incredibly thick layer of clouds. However, earlier in the day, I had seen some high clouds so I took a chance hoping that the marine layer would thin out enough to let the last rays from the sun through. I was not disappointed.

Medium: Acrylic print with a float mount (ready to hang)
This is a photographic print where the front has been directly adhered to a sheet of ultra clear, scratch resistant, and anti-reflective acrylic glass. This process is known as face mounting. The acrylic captures light internally and bounces it off the surface of the print resulting in a display with incredible visual depth and vibrancy. With proper lighting, the acrylic print will appear to have light emanating from the image itself. The back of the print is sealed with another layer of protective acrylic. The print comes ready to hang with hidden mounting hardware on the back that floats the print off the wall.
