The pumpkin patch is this amazing spot in the Borrego Badlands where the landscape is covered with hundreds of large round, rocks which are shaped like pumpkins. The pumpkins are actually concretions which are created by the natural cementing of sediment around a small object such as a pebble or piece of a shell.
The catch with the pumpkin patch is that it is pretty difficult to get to. You need a high clearance 4WD and very careful driving. If you take a wrong turn and make a mistake you could end up rolling your car or going over a cliff. Way way worse than driving to the racetrack in Death Valley.
