Smuggler's Sunset | Rum Runner's Cave, Sunset Cliffs

I went to this cave with some friends to try and catch the sunset. As soon as I entered, I saw this beautiful warm light streaming inside and painting the cave walls. Torn between the desire to explore the rest of the cave and photographing the scene. Well photography won out.

This is the Smuggler's or Rum Runner's cave located in Sunset Cliffs. Rumor has it that the cave was used to bring in alcohol and guns from Mexico during the prohibition era. Inside, there are a number of stairs and supposedly there was a tunnel that led to a house (now gone). Although the cave is very well hidden, you've probably been close to it if you've visited Sunset Cliffs.

Purchase a beautiful collectible print made with the finest archival papers and pigment inks. The prints are made on a heavyweight acid free paper with a smooth satin finish. Each print will be signed using an archival pen in the margin beneath the image. I love printing with fine art papers and this is my preferred medium.
