Garbage Beach, Sunset Cliffs, San Diego

Channel | Garbage Beach, Sunset Cliffs, San Diego

I took this photo on Halloween when I was exploring Garbage Beach in Sunset Cliffs. I wanted to get a bit further south and explore an area that I thought had sea caves. Unfortunately the tide was still high enough to block my path. This channel was cut into the beach sand and rock and went all the way back to the cliff wall. The rushing water in the channel was too dangerous to try and wade through it but visually I love the way it parted the scene. So I stayed here and photographed it with an amazing sunset.
