Cancelled due to Covid-19.
Do you want to make fantastic landscape images of the Milky Way and starry night skies? This is an intensive, hands-on, classroom workshop that will help you master photographing the Milky Way. You'll learn how to plan a Milky Way shot, photograph in the field, and edit your images. We'll then go on to cover advanced topics to help you take your work to the next level.
This is a full day workshop, which will be a mixture of tutorials, examples, demonstrations, exercises, and discussions. The class size is purposely kept small so that every student will have an opportunity to get personal help.
Here's a partial list of topics covered:
Participants should be familiar with Lightroom and have a basic understanding of Photoshop layers and masks.
Meals, transportation, and lodging are not included.
The hotel has free onsite parking with two lots which may be entered from either Mississippi St. or Louisiana St. There is also free unmetered street parking just south of the hotel.
The workshop will be held on Saturday May 16, 2020. It will start at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. There will be a break for lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. as well as short mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks.
As of March 10, San Diego County's Coronavirus website has stated that "San Diego County's general population remains at low risk of coronavirus disease, or COVID-19". As such, I intend to hold the workshop as planned.
However, due to these circumstances, I'm changing the cancellation policy. If you've registered for the workshop and then decide later that you do not wish to attend due to health concerns, you will receive a full refund.
If the situation changes so that public meetings are not recommended, I will cancel the workshop and issue a full refund as well.
