Timeless Black and White Art of San Diego

Out of all my photographic work, I consider my black & white photos to be some of my most personal images. Many of the photos in this gallery were captured at unusual times, in unexpected places, or under conditions that stray from the typical golden hour or sunny blue skies. I deliberately sought out these moments for their quiet stillness or raw intensity. I believe that excluding color and working solely in black white helps me emphasize those qualities in my photographs more clearly. Although I made these images purely for myself, I've decided to share them here with the thought that others may enjoy them as well.

Black and White Prints

My black and white photographs are available as archival pigment prints, produced on heavyweight cotton fine art paper with a smooth satin finish. This combination ensures a rich tonal range, deep blacks, and delicate highlights. This is perfect for emphasizing the subtle textures and contrast inherent in monochrome images.

While framing is a matter of personal taste, I recommend using a simple and understated frame in black, white, or natural wood. These classic choices keep the presentation clean and unobtrusive, allowing the viewer's attention to remain on the image itself. I also suggest matting the print with a generous white border to add visual breathing room and enhance the sense of depth and presence on the wall.

Each print is signed and made to order. Your print will be shipped rolled in a tube and will require framing when you receive it. Custom sizes are available upon request.
